Site Clearance Essex
We clear plots so the next trade can start clean. Vegetation, topsoil, old concrete, redundant outbuildings — pulled, broken out and carted away under our own licence, leaving a level site ready for whatever's next.
Site Clearance services across Essex — Chelmsford, Basildon, Southend, Brentwood, Billericay, Wickford and the wider county.
Site Clearance done properly across Essex.
Site clearance is the prep work that decides whether the rest of the build runs to schedule. We strip vegetation, lift topsoil and stockpile it if you're reusing it, break out old slabs and footings, drop redundant outbuildings and grade the area level. Every grade of arisings goes off-site under our licence the same day. From small domestic plot clearances to large commercial brownfield strips, the same crew runs the job from first cut to final sweep.

How we deliver site clearance in Essex.
Four stages, one team. Vegetation, soft strip, hardstanding and clear-down — done in the right sequence so the site is ready for the next phase on schedule.
-
1
Survey & set out
Site walked, drainage and services traced, protected trees identified. What stays and what goes is agreed in writing before a chainsaw starts.
-
2
Vegetation & soft strip
Trees, shrubs, root balls, fencing and any redundant outbuildings cleared first. Topsoil stripped and stockpiled if you're reusing it for landscaping.
-
3
Hardstanding breakout
Old concrete slabs, driveways, paths and shallow footings broken out with hydraulic breaker. Rebar separated for recycling so it's not going to landfill.
-
4
Level & clear-down
Site graded to spec, all arisings muck-awayed under our own licence, duty-of-care paperwork issued. Ready for the next trade to walk on.
Site Clearance in Essex — your questions answered.
What's the difference between site clearance and excavation?
Site clearance is the prep work — stripping vegetation, breaking out old concrete, levelling the plot and getting it ready. Excavation is digging into the cleared ground for foundations, basements or service runs. Most jobs need both; we do both.
Do you handle tree felling and root removal?
Standard trees and root balls, yes — included in the clearance. Anything protected (TPO, conservation area) or oversized, we bring in a qualified arborist as part of the same package so you're not chasing a separate trade.
Can you break out old concrete slabs and driveways?
Yes — hydraulic breaker on the excavator handles most domestic and commercial slabs in a day. Rebar separated for recycling, broken concrete crushed on site or carted away depending on volume.
Do I need a skip?
No. We bring our own tippers and grabs and load arisings straight from the dig — saves you skip hire and permits.
How quickly can you start?
Most Essex clearance jobs we can have a team on site within 24–48 hours, often same-day for smaller works.
